The Kyle of Durness is an inlet to the North Atlantic Ocean, situated at the extreme north-west of Scotland, in the County of Sutherland. At the eastern mouth of the Kyle lies the lonely and beautiful beach of Balnakeil Bay, surrounded by mountains on all sides. This photo, taken from the bay, shows the timeless Kyle of Durness shortly after sunset, with a beautiful variety of clouds and colours. This is a beautiful shot of the most remote part of the British mainland.
